City of Woonsocket Spring Yard Waste Collection to End 6/16

 

WOONSOCKET, R.I.: The City of Woonsocket Division of Solid Waste reminds residents that curbside pick-up of yard waste (grass clippings, small branches, weeds, etc.) will end the week of June 12, on residents' normal collection day, concluding at the end of the week on June 16.

 

The yard waste drop-off site in Blackstone, MA, off Canal Street (North Smithfield) will continue to be open on Wednesdays and Saturdays, for those residents having the appropriate yard waste sticker that can be obtained at City Hall - all residential properties in the City of Woonsocket are included in the yard waste drop-off program.  Stickers can be obtained, for a $25.00 fee, at City Hall in the Department of Public Works, Monday through Friday 8:30 am – 4:00 pm.  Proper identification and vehicle registration is required.  Commercial vehicle registrations are excluded from this program.

 

Residents are also reminded that it is illegal to throw yard waste in the household waste collection carts and/or recycle carts. Curbside yard waste collection will resume in October.
