President Trump says he meant to say something different than what he actually said during yesterday's press conference with Russian President Vladimir Putin. At the White House today, Trump insisted that he misspoke when he said he has no reason to believe that Russia would be involved. He said he meant to say there is no reason why it "wouldn't be" Russia. Meantime, Trump said he has full faith in U.S. intelligence agencies.        Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell says Russia not a friend of the U.S. At a Capitol Hill news conference today, the Kentucky Republican said it is clear that Russia interfered in the 2016 presidential election. McConnell's comments followed President Trump's controversial news conference with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Helsinki.       The FBI is investigating the theft of nuclear material in San Antonio, Texas. According to a new report, the material was stolen from a van being driven by Department of Energy employees. The two DOE experts were carrying radiation detectors and small nuclear samples to verify dangerous materials they were scheduled to pickup from a research lab.        The Republican National Committee is expected to formally announce this week that Charlotte will host the 2020 GOP National Convention. The Charlotte City Council narrowly passed a motion to allow the city manager to begin negotiations with the Republican National Committee. One of the main debates was whether the city could host the 2020 convention without endorsing President Trump and his administration's policies.        Amazon is reporting huge Prime Day Sales after resolving a technical glitch.
