Indiana is the first state to pass an abortion ban after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade in late June. The law approved Friday requires abortions to be performed only at hospitals or outpatient centers in cases of rape and incest within ten weeks of pregnancy.        There are fears a possible serial killer could be killing Muslim men in New Mexico. NBC News reported that an hour before his murder Friday night, Naeem Hussein [[ ny-EEM hoo-SANE ]] had attended the funeral service for two of the other murder victims. They were shot and killed in separate attacks.        Gas prices keep inching closer to four dollars a gallon. Triple A reports today's national average price for regular is four-oh-five a gallon. That's a drop of 16 cents from last Monday.        Heavy rain is flooding streets in Denver. The Denver Fire Department says crews rescued at least 19 people from stranded cars Sunday night. Everyone reportedly is doing OK.        Two men accused of plotting to kidnap and murder Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer go on trial again this week. Adam Fox and Barry Croft Jr. will be retried beginning Tuesday after their first trial ended in mistrials for them and acquittals for two other men charged in the alleged plot.        Academy Award-winning actress Jessica Chastain met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky [[ VLO-doe-meer ze-LEN-skee ]] at the presidential palace in Kyiv on Sunday. In a social media post after the meeting, Zelensky wrote that visits of famous people are extremely valuable.
