Karel Martinez Scarlet (age 26)

On October 20, 2021, the Statewide Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Karel Martinez Scarlet with one count of murder, one count of conspiracy to commit murder, one count of discharging a firearm while committing a crime of violence resulting in death, one count of carrying a pistol without a license, and one count of firing in a compact area, which allegedly occurred in the city of Pawtucket sometime on or about June 26, 2021; one count of carrying a pistol without a license and one count of possession of a firearm with an altered serial number, which allegedly occurred in the city of Providence sometime on or about August 6, 2021. The Pawtucket Police Department conducted the investigation. The defendant is scheduled to be arraigned on November 3, 2021 in Providence County Superior Court.

 

 

Marc Bunnell (age 37)

Scituate, R.I.

On October 20, 2021, the Statewide Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Marc Bunnell with one count of delivery of one ounce to one kilogram of cocaine, which allegedly occurred in the town of Scituate sometime on or about April 12, 2021; one count of delivery of cocaine, which allegedly occurred in the city of Warwick sometime on or about May 4, 2021; one count of conspiracy to violate the controlled substances act, which allegedly occurred in the State of Rhode Island sometime on or about May 4, 2021; one count of possession of one to five kilograms of marijuana, one count of possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, one count of possession of cocaine with intent to deliver, and one count of possession of tetrahydrocannabinol with intent to deliver, which allegedly occurred in the town of Scituate sometime on or about May 19, 2021; one count of possession of one ounce to one kilogram of cocaine, one count of possession of cocaine with intent to deliver, and one count of possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, which allegedly occurred in the town of West Warwick sometime on or about May 19, 2021; three counts of conspiracy to violate the controlled substances act, which allegedly occurred in the State of Rhode Island sometime on or between May 18, 2021 and May 19, 2021; one count of possession of over five kilograms of marijuana, one count of possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, and two counts of conspiracy to violate the controlled substances act, which allegedly occurred in the town of Cumberland sometime on or about May 19, 2021. The Rhode Island State Police conducted the investigation. The defendant is scheduled to be arraigned on November 17, 2021 in Providence County Superior Court.

 

 

Matthew Fath (age 34)

West Warwick, R.I.

On October 20, 2021, the Statewide Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Matthew Fath with one count of delivery of cocaine, which allegedly occurred in the city of Warwick sometime on or about May 4, 2021; one count of conspiracy to violate the controlled substances act, which allegedly occurred in the State of Rhode Island sometime on or about May 4, 2021; one count of possession of one ounce to one kilogram of cocaine, one count of possession of cocaine with intent to deliver, one count of possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, one count of possession of fentanyl with intent to deliver, and one count of possession of alprazolam with intent to deliver, which allegedly occurred in the town of West Warwick sometime on or about May 19, 2021; two counts of conspiracy to violate the controlled substances act, which allegedly occurred in the State of Rhode Island sometime on or about May 19, 2021; and one count of conspiracy to violate the controlled substances act, which allegedly occurred in the State of Rhode Island between May 18, 2021 and May 19, 2021. The Rhode Island State Police conducted the investigation. The defendant is scheduled to be arraigned on November 17, 2021 in Providence County Superior Court.
