STOP THE BLEED CLASS Held on September 28th, 2022.

North Smithfield Town Hall.

Thank you to all the North Smithfield Residents who came out Wednesday night to learn how to go from "being a By-Stander to a By-Doer". A special thank you to the Woonsocket Rotary Club for the purchase of the CAT-1 Tourniquets that were dispersed to the participants of the Stop the Bleed Class upon completion of the class. The class was orchestrated by Brooke Lawrence, Executive Director of DMAT-RIMRC, along with Jim McLeroy, Paramedic, I/C, DMAT-RIMRC, Richard Savaria, EMT-C/IC, DMAT-RIMRC, Cheryl Savaria, LPN/EMT, DMAT-RIMRC, and Georgette Gasse, Admin. DMAT-RIMRC. The Town Resident's were informed on when/why/how to appropriately apply a Tourniquet, pack a wound, and tend to a 'sucking chest wound' out in the community if such a catastrophic event were to take place. Photo's of the event will be posted in next weeks Newsletter. Stay tuned...., stay healthy, and stay informed. Be a By-Doer, not a By-Stander in your community!
