DISPOSAL OF HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE, ELECTRONICS AND DOCUMENT SHREDDNG ON SATURDAY, OCTOBER 29th


WOONSOCKET, RI; Mayor Daniel M. Gendron announced that on Saturday, October 29, 2022, from 8:00 a.m.- 12 NOON, the City of Woonsocket will be holding an ECO DEPOT COLLECTION DAY at the City’s Recycling Center located at 1117 River Street where Rhode Island residents may safely dispose of household hazardous waste (e.g., antifreeze, waste oil, old paint) and electronics. Document shredding services will also be available for *Woonsocket residents.

No appointments are necessary for electronics disposal or
* Shredding services.

For hazardous waste, an appointment is necessary. An appointment may be made via www.ecodepotri.org or by calling 401-942-1430, ext. 3241


Mayor Gendron said, “This is a great opportunity for residents to safely rid themselves of unwanted items that have accumulated over time.” He also thanked Interim Solid Waste Coordinator Elizabeth Kerrigan for collaborating with Rhode Island Resource Recovery Corporation in putting this worthwhile event together. He praised the city’s team of Department of Public Works.
