North End Walking Tour to Continue on November 6

On October 23 the Woonsocket Historical Society conducted a North End Walking Tour.  Unfortunately, the tour was cut short because of rain. 

On November 6 the tour will continue where it left off.  We will meet

at the corner of Winter Street and Woodland Road at 1:00 pm.  There is on-street parking on both Prospect and Woodland Road. 

Over the years the historical society has received many requests for a North End tour.  During  the summer, Irene Blais and historian Don Hoard have worked together  to research and develop the tour. 

Some of the streets we will walk are Winter, Prospect, Spring, Blackstone and a part of Harris Avenue.   The history and architecture of many homes will be discussed. 

The tour should last 1½ hours.  Please wear comfortable shoes.
