to hear bill on outdoor dining

STATE HOUSE – The House Committee on Small Business will meet Wednesday for hearings on several bills, including a bill introduced by Rep. Carol Hagan McEntee (D-Dist. 33, South Kingstown, Narragansett) that would extend the law that allows restaurants to continue approved outdoor dining.  The bill (2023-H 5264) would also establish the Outdoor Dining Act which would prevent municipalities and state agencies from prohibiting outdoor dining in the future.

The meeting will be televised by Capitol Television, which can be seen on channels 15 and 61 for high definition by Cox Communications subscribers, channel 15 for i3Broadband (Formally Full Channel) viewers and channel 34 for Verizon subscribers. Livestreaming is available at https://www.rilegislature.gov/CapTV/Pages/default.aspx.
