The VA Providence Healthcare System helps to train hundreds of health professions trainees every year in internal medicine, general surgery, orthopedics, ophthalmology, nursing, psychiatry, and many other clinical disciplines.

VA’s vast clinical training enterprise is conducted in collaboration with more than 1,400 colleges, including 99% of the nation’s medical schools,” said Lawrence Connell, VA Providence healthcare System, Director.  “Our students frequently tell us the greatest reward of training at VA is serving our Veterans.”
