    On 11-24-17 at 0110 hours Woonsocket Police Officer's Martinsen and Cox conducted a motor vehicle stop with a 2007 Jeep Cherokee on Bentley St.  During their investigation they made contact with the operator and his front seat passenger Daviel Lara 20 of Providence.  Both men are known gang members out of Worcester, MA.  The operator has been flagged as being known to carry firearms which the dispatcher immediately alerted Officer Martinsen about. 

    During the course of the motor vehicle stop, both subjects were removed from the unregistered vehicle and a search was conducted.  Officer Martinsen located a loaded .45 caliber handgun under the passenger’s seat, directly at the feet of where Lara was seated. The firearm contained (4) live rounds in the magazine and none in the chamber. Lara was subsequently charged with License or Permit required for carrying a pistol.
