On February 16th the Woonsocket Police Department was advised by School Officials of the presence of ammunition found in a first-floor bathroom in the Hamlet Middle School.
Woonsocket Police immediately began an investigation and as a result of that investigation we have made two arrests. The first arrest was of a 13-year-old male juvenile for Possession of Ammunition on School Grounds and Disorderly Conduct.
The second arrest is also a 13-year-old male juvenile for Possession of Ammunition on School Grounds. Both juveniles are being referred to the appropriate court system. The investigation revealed no plot or threat to harm other students, faculty or staff at the middle school.
