In honor of National Poetry Month in April, the Woonsocket Harris Public Library is proud to announce the return of our annual poetry contest. Every year we get hundreds of entries in all age groups and pick the best poems to feature in our poetry awards night. This year the prizes will be awarded on May 16^th at 7:00 PM. Poets can enter their poems anytime in April from the 1^st to the 30^th. Poems can be submitted in person at the library, or by mail, fax, or email at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. No more than two submissions per person. All entries from poets grades six and up must be typed. Please include your name, phone number and age category on each entry. The age groups are adult, grades 9-12, grades 6-8, grades 3-5, and K-2. Students should include name, phone number, school and teacher’s name.
