On April 9th 2018 at 1513 hours the Woonsocket Police Department responded to an address on Poplar Street in Woonsocket for a missing three year old male. Upon arrival, Officers began a search of the home and surrounding area for the child. A short time later officer’s located the child in the next door neighbor’s yard inside the swimming pool.
The child was pulled from the pool by officers who immediately began CPR on the child. Woonsocket Fire Rescue arrived and relieved Woonsocket Police Officers. The child was later transported to Landmark Medical Center where he pronounced dead.
The incident is under investigation by the Woonsocket Police and more information will be released at the conclusion.
