Registration for Summer Reading Programs at the Library
Staring Monday June 25th sign up at the library for all of our great programs including
Program Registration: Books Are Wings & Farm Fresh RI snacks @ Monday June 25th 11am Lego Club @ Fridays June 29–August 24th 10:30-11:30am Book Buddies for 1st & 2nd graders @ Wednesdays July 11, 18, Aug 1st 3-4pm Learn Chinese Ages 7-11 @ Thurdays July 5, 12, 19, 26 Aug 2, 9 4-5:30pm In addition to these programs, there will be many more programs including STEAM programs based on Earth Science. Also sign up for our summer reading challenge! For students entering Kindergarten Through 5th grade. Read 3 books from the time school ends to the week before school starts. Come to the children’s room of the Woonsocket Harris Public Library and hand in your reading response form for the book you read. We will write the title on a special reading record and you will put a sticker next to your name on our star reader chart every time you read a book up to 6 books you get a prize. Kids get to pick a prize out of the prize box & choose a free book. Other prizes will be given just for reading. Reporting on book read begins week of July 2nd.
Funding and support for the Statewide RI Summer Reading Program includes a grant from the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services through the RI Office of Library & Information Services, Pawtucket Red Sox. Local sponsors include Children’s and Young Adult Librarians of RI, Pepin Lumber, Olly’s Pizza, Vose True Value Hardware, Rotary Club, Books Are Wings and the Friends of the Woonsocket Harris Library.
