KILLINGLY HIGH SCHOOL BIG RED MARCHING BAND TO HEADLINE AUTUMNFEST PARADE

Woonsocket – The 2019 Autumnfest Steering Committee proudly announces that the headline band for this year’s Autumnfest Parade will be the Killingly High School Big Red Marching Band from Dayville, CT.  This will be their 4th appearance in the Autumnfest Parade.  According to Jeff Ethier, the band director, the Killingly High School Big Red Marching Band is a 55-piece band.

In addition to the Autumnfest Parade, the band marches annually in many parades including The Big E Eastern States Exposition in West Springfield, MA. They also will be participating in UMass Band Day in November with 70+ marching bands and close to 4,000 high school band students. This year the Killingly High School Big Red Marching Band will also be traveling to perform at Walt Disney World.

The band will feature 1970's rock music as a part of their "Big Red Rock Show" this year. You will hear the Carl Douglas classic "Kung Fu Fighting" as well as Led Zeppelin's "Stairway to Heaven" and more.

The Autumnfest parade is Monday, Oct. 14, 2019. It begins at 9:15 AM and steps off from Diamond Hill Plaza on Diamond Hill Road, Woonsocket.  The parade route travels down Diamond Hill Road and takes a left on to Social Street. The parade ends at the entrance to World War II Veterans Memorial Park, the home of Autumnfest.
