STATE HOUSE – The Woonsocket House delegation recognized a local high school student this month for being named the Boys & Girls Club of Woonsocket 2012 Youth of the Year.
NORTH SMITHFIELD – Outdoor burning is not allowed in North Smithfield. Extremely dry conditions can produce brush fires that can get out of hand quickly.
Public Safety Director Paulette D. Hamilton reminds residents that the “no burning” regulation will remain in effect during the summer and those who violate the ordinance will be fined.
