DEM ANNOUNCES THAT WRIGHT'S DAIRY FARM IN NORTH SMITHFIELD HAS BEEN NAMED STATE'S 2014 OUTSTANDING DAIRY FARM OF THE YEAR
Mayor Lisa Baldelli-Hunt announced that she will meet with the members of the City’s Legislative Delegation to present a Legislative Grant in the amount of $10,000 to the members of the United Veterans Council toward the construction of a veterans’ memorial park off Davison Street. The presentation will take place on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at 9:00 AM at the proposed site off Davison Street. This grant was obtained by the City’s delegation to the General Assembly during the last legislative session.

New Dates Listed for Voters to Obtain FREE Voter IDs
PROVIDENCE, RI -- Secretary of State A. Ralph Mollis has released the dates of upcoming VOTER ID events.
On June 3rd, 2014 the Public Works Department awarded a bid to sell approximately 14.53 tons of structural steel from a former road and bridge project. The structural steel had been abandoned at the train depot for many years and the city was requested to have it removed. The removal of this surplus steel generated $2615.40 to the city’s general fund and addressed a long standing problem. Full Circle Recycling, located in Johnston, was the highest bidder at .09 per pound.
