Rabies Clinic


The annual North Smithfield rabies clinic will be held on Saturday, March 16, from 1:00 to 2:30 PM at Primrose Fire Station at 1470 Providence Pike.

NORTH SMITHFIELD – The annual North Smithfield rabies clinic will be held on Saturday, March 16, from 1:00 to 2:30 PM at Primrose Fire Station at 1470 Providence Pike.

Animal vaccinations are required by town ordinance and fines will be imposed if pets are not up to date on shots. The fee is $11.00 for each shot.  Payment must be in the form of cash, no checks or credit cards will be accepted. Dogs, cats and ferrets are eligible for vaccination. Dogs must be on a leash; cats and ferrets must be in carriers.

 Dog licenses may be purchased for $6.00 (cash) during the clinic, as long as proof of rabies vaccination is presented at the time.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    

The event is sponsored by The Rhode Island Veterinary Medical Association as a service to local animals and residents. For more information, contact the Animal Control Office at 766-0377.
