Do you own an old house and would like to know more about it? On Saturday, May 18, the Woonsocket Historical Society will be presenting a program at the Woonsocket Harris Public Library titled “Researching the History of Houses.” Based on the number of calls the Society receives on this topic, Woonsocket native and historian Jeffrey Emidy has been asked to come and speak on this topic. Jeff is an architectural historian at the RI Historical Preservation and Heritage Commission in Providence. He holds a degree in History and Historical Preservation from the Universities of New Hampshire and Vermont. He has held preservation related positions as an educator and in local government and has conducted tours and lectured about historic sites throughout Rhode Island.

The program starts at 1:00 pm. This is a free program and the public is invited to attend. Light refreshment will be served.
