JUNE 20, 2013 WORKSHOP: Electronic Tools to Improve Your Health

The Senior Agenda Coalition of Rhode Island, a non-profit organization promoting “aging in the community” with independence and dignity for seniors, is sponsoring a free workshop “Understanding Electronic Tools for Seniors and their Caregivers to Improve Your Health” on Thursday June 20 from 4pm to 5pm at the YWCA RHODE ISLAND, 514 Blackstone Street, Woonsocket.

Workshop attendees will learn about Personal Health Records, a new technology that lets people use computers to help them manage all of their health information. A free “getting started kit” will be provided to guide you through collecting information and creating a Personal Health Record. Lisa Nelson, a medical informatics and health information technology consultant, will be the presenter. This event is supported by a grant from the Office on Women’s Health, U.S. Department of Human Services.

The Workshop is free and open to the public, who are asked to pre-register by e-mail to senioragendari@yahoo.com or by calling (401)351-6710.
