Volunteers needed for YWCA Race Against Racism at Autumnfest Many
opportunities to support the 5K run/walk on October 13

Woonsocket, Rhode Island  - Volunteers are needed to support the 3rd Annual
YWCA Race Against Racism on Sunday, October 13, 2013.  The 5K run/walk will
be held during Woonsocket's annual Autumnfest celebration. A variety of
positions are available for volunteers the day of the race from 7:00 to
11:00 AM.

Volunteers are needed in the following areas: race set up, registration,
water station, on course guide, finish line, and clean up.  A volunteer form
is available on the Race Against Racism website at
www.raceagainstracismri.org.

The Race Against Racism is intended to unite people of all races,
demonstrate our community's commitment to eliminating racism, and celebrate
our diversity.  Proceeds from the race will support community and racial
justice efforts.

Race Against Racism is organized by YWCA Rhode Island.  Race Partners
include: RiverzEdge Arts, NeighborWorks Blackstone River Valley, Family
Resources Community Action, nriAHEC, Connecting for Children & Families,
Thundermist Health Center, Landmark Medical Center, Autumnfest, Woonsocket
Prevention Coalition, NE Distance, The Fund for Community Progress and
CopsWalk.

Sponsorships are available. Current race sponsors include The Call, The
Times, and Neighbors and Whole Foods Market - Bellingham.
