Breaking and Entering CT Gas Station

The North Smithfield Police Department Detective Division has arrested Jesse Ortiz, age 20 of 156 Morin Heights Woonsocket and Isaac Roman, age 21 of 75 Blackstone Street, Woonsocket, RI for the Breaking and Entering of CT Gas Station located on the corner of Greenville Road and Smithfield Road.    Both individuals were charged with Breaking and Entering with the intent to commit a felony; Felony Larceny of Cigarettes and Lottery tickets over $1,500.00 and Vandalism.   On July 20, 2013 around 0400hrs both Ortiz and Roman gained access to the store by driving a stolen Grand Cherokee through the plate glass door in front of the store which was caught on surveillance video.   Ortiz was arraigned in 3rd District Court on August 2, 2013 and plead not guilty.  Ortiz was released on $10,000 surety bail and will have a pre-arraignment conference in Superior Court on October 4, 2013.  Roman was arraigned in 3rd District Court on August 15, 2013.   A not guilty plea was entered on Roman’s behalf and he was held as a bail violator.  Roman’s next court date is on October 16, 2013 in Superior Court for his pre-arraignment conference.
