NORTH SMITHFIELD – The USDA Rural Development office, in partnership with NeighborWorks Blackstone River Valley (NWBRV), is launching their Mutual Self-Help Housing Program in Rhode Island for the first time in over 25 years. This unique home ownership program, set to start this summer, provides people the opportunity to save on the cost of owning a home by participating in the building process. Residents in the North Smithfield area are encouraged to contact Neighborworks to see if they qualify for this unique program

In addition, the program offers very low interest rates [as low as 1%] and extended payment terms, making mortgage amounts potentially less than what most people are paying for rent. Only a few lots are left - availability on a first come, first serve basis. For more information visit the "For Rent, Sale or Lease" section of our website at www.neighborworks.org or contact Daynah Williams at (401) 762-0993 x 211.
