On 4/17/14 members of the Woonsocket Police Narcotics Unit and Special Response Team executed a search at 2281 Diamond Hill Road Apartment E as a result of a weeks long investigation.  Arrested during the raid was Mark Briggs age 28 of that address.  Briggs was charged with two counts of Delivery of Crack Cocaine, Possession of Crack Cocaine, Maintaining a Common Narcotics Nuisance, and Distributing Controlled Substances near Schools and Parks.  Detectives seized crack cocaine, $2,234 in cash and several items of drug paraphernalia.  Briggs has a lengthy criminal record including prior drug offenses and was additionally wanted and charged as a parole violator.

 On 4/18/14 Detectives assigned to the Vice Unit conducted a search warrant on the first floor apartment at63 Mill Street.  Murphy Ramos, age 25, has been the subject of investigation for several weeks by the Narcotics Unit and was currently wanted for two counts of Delivery of Heroin and one count of Delivery of Crack Cocaine.  When Detectives gained entry into the apartment they located Ramos as well as a cache of assorted narcotics with a street value estimated to be well in excess of ten thousand dollars. Detectives seized 64 bags of crack cocaine totaling 51 grams, 7 bags of heroin totaling 56.5 grams, 3 bags of powder cocaine weighing 5.5 grams and 94 bags of marijuana weighing 211.5 grams, $1,775.00 in cash, and several items of drug paraphernalia.  In addition to the aforementioned charges, Ramos is also being charged with Possessing With Intent to Deliver 1Ounce to 1 Kilo of Cocaine and 1 Ounce to 1 Kilo of Heroin , Possession of Marijauna with Intent to Deliver, Possession of Cocaine and Maintaining a Common Narcotics Nuisance.
