Check it out! There is a lot going on at your local library.

 

Tuesday August 12th 2-3pm

Let's go to Hawaii with Lola!

Great for all ages. FREE Tickets available Monday August 4th.

Learn about all things Hawaiian, including the "fizz and boom," of Mount Kilauea! In this presentation, children will sing some Hawaiian songs, be introduced to Hawaiian drumming, dance two complete hula dances, and learn what makes Hawaiian dance costumes so unique. Your children will learn about the spirit of aloha, and leave with a lot more information about our 50th state!

Lola is the director of Rhode Island based Hawaiian fire and dance troupe, Polynesian Fusion

Funding for this program is provided by the RI Office of Library and Information Services, The Institute for Museum Services, Pepsi, Citizens Bank, PawSox and local librarians.

 

Wednesday August 13th 10:30-11:30am

Eric Carle Storytime for families of children ages 3-6 years

Join Ms. Jenifer and Ms.Kanisha for an Eric Carle storytime

Childrens will listen to Eric Carle stories like the Very Hungry Caterpillar.

Instructor uses PECS visual aids. Kids make a simple craft to take home and enjoy.

Dr. Seuss Storytime for families of children ages 3-6years

Special guest reader Miss. Teen USA from Woonsocket Miss. Jenna will read to children and famiies.

Kids will make a simple craft to take home and enjoy.
