NBC News projects Abigail Spanberger will win the Virginia governor's race. Polls have closed in New Jersey where Democrat Mikie Sherrill is going against Republican Jack Ciattarelli [[ CHIT-ah-relly ]] in the race to be the next governor. Polls will close later in New York where Democratic socialist Zohran Mamdani remains the front-runner in to be the city's next mayor.        Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear says three people are dead after a UPS cargo jet exploded in an enormous fireball while taking off from Louisville's Muhammad Ali International Airport. At least 11 people were injured. Beshear called the crash "catastrophic," and says he expects the death toll to rise because the plane hit two businesses on the ground. The governor said there were three crew members on board the plane, but did not specify if those were the fatalities so far.        The Senate has rejected a temporary funding bill to end the government shutdown. It's the 14th time legislation failed in the upper chamber. Before the vote, Senate Majority Leader John Thune said he was optimistic that lawmakers will find a solution this week.        The Supreme Court will consider the legality of President Trump's tariffs tomorrow. The high court scheduled oral arguments for November 5th after it agreed to fast track the case. The tariffs will stay in place until the court makes a decision.        Two Massachusetts men are charged in connection with the weekend explosion at the Harvard Medical School. The U.S. Attorney's Office said this morning's arrests of Logan David Patterson and Dominick Frank Cardoza, were made by the FBI Boston Joint Terrorism Task Force and Harvard University police. Evidence of a small explosion in a wooden locker caused by what was believed to be a large commercial firework, was found around three a.m. Saturday on the fourth floor of the Goldenson Building.        The richest Americans have been seeing their wealth grow by leaps and bounds. The nation's top ten billionaires have collectively added nearly 700-billion-dollars to their fortunes in the past year, driving their overall worth to two-and-a-half trillion dollars. That's according to a new report from the non-profit Oxfam America published on Monday.
