The Trump administration want nations to pay a billion dollars if they want a permanent spot on the Gaza Board of Peace. That's according to a draft charter seen by multiple news outlets. Endorsed by the United Nations Security Council, the board is an international body created to oversee the Israel-Hamas ceasefire in Gaza and reconstructions. While there is no cost to join the board, the billion dollars would reportedly give nations a permanent seat.        Two Republicans are standing with European allies opposed to the U.S. taking Greenland. Alaska Senator Lisa Murkowski and Senator Thom Tillis of North Carolina were part of a bipartisan delegation who met with Denmark's prime minister in Copenhagen to discuss the future of Greenland. Murkowski said Trump's tariffs on countries opposed to U.S. control of Greenland will "push our core European allies further away while doing nothing to advance U.S. national security."        The U.S. killed an al-Qaeda leader in Syria tied to last month's ISIS attack that killed two American servicemembers. U.S. Central Command announced Saturday the strike resulted in the death Bilal Hasan al-Jasim. Central Command says al-Jasim was connected to the shooter who opened fire on U.S. troops on December 13th. Two National Guardsmen and one civilian interpreter were killed in that attack.        The Divisional Round of the NFL postseason is set. The Patriots thumped the Texans 28-16 from Foxboro while the Rams edged the Bears 20-17 in overtime from Chicago. New England visits Denver for the AFC Championship game. Los Angeles will head to Seattle to play for a spot in Super Bowl 60.        There's no trading today on Wall Street in observance of MLK Day. There are no major economic reports on the calendar until Wednesday. That's when pending home sales data from December will be released. Weekly jobless claims are due Thursday along with a revised 3rd quarter GDP report.        Avatar: Fire and Ash continues to stay on top of the box office for the fifth straight week. The film took in just over 13 million dollars over the weekend, continuing a box office run that has seen it earn over one-point-three billion dollars globally.
