President Trump says Greenland is needed to boost national security for the U.S. He made the comment while addressing world leaders at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland today. Trump argued Denmark could not protect Greenland during World War Two.     Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook is having her day in court. The Supreme Court will hear arguments Wednesday in the case involving her firing in August by the Trump administration. President Trump had urged the high court to allow him to fire Cook immediately.     A major winter storm is forecast to bring ice and snow from Texas to the Northeast this week. In the meantime, frigid Arctic air will continue to freeze parts of the Midwest, Great Lakes and Northeast. Forecasters say that air comes ahead of a storm that will hit much of the Southeast and East Friday through Sunday.     YouTuber Nick Shirley is appearing before lawmakers on Capitol Hill. The hearing is focused on how fraud schemes have allegedly exploited multiple federally funded programs in Minnesota. Shirley is one of four witnesses to appear before the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime and Federal Government Surveillance.     Negotiations between New York City nurses and hospitals are at a standstill as the strike is in its tenth day. Nurses at New York Presbyterian, Mount Sinai, and Montefiore say they will be on the picket line for as long as necessary as they demand better healthcare benefits, safer staffing, and protections from workplace violence. Since nurses went on strike last week, negotiators have only had one meeting and both parties remain divided on every big issue.     Carlos Beltrán and Andruw Jones have been elected to Baseball Hall of Fame as members of 2026 class. Beltran, a nine-time All-Star and 1999 AL Rookie of the Year, received 84-percent of the vote. Jones, a ten-time Gold Glove winner and five-time All-Star, received 78-percent, just over the needed 75-percent.
