Kendrick Road Pedestrian Overpass Bridge Closure

WOONSOCKET, RI – Please be advised that the Kendrick Road Pedestrian Overpass Bridge, also known as the Kendrick Road Footbridge, is closed to all foot traffic effective immediately due to safety concerns.

RI Department of Transportation has determined that the bridge is in need of significant repairs to ensure public safety. We understand that this closure is an inconvenience for residents and commuters who rely on this crossing.

At this time, there is no official timeline for the completion of the repairs. Our Department of Public Works is working diligently to assess the necessary scope of work and to develop a plan for a permanent repair solution. We will provide updates to the public as soon as more information becomes available.
