How do you know its fall? “When you pick apples and pumpkins too,” sings Apple Annie who is featured in a delightful 30 minute interactive program of songs, fingerplays and musical activities for young children and their families.  Join her on Zoom September 23th at 4pm. She suggests that if you have scarves, shakers, any kind of simple rhythm instruments at home, (pots, pans and wooden spoons are good too), keep them handy so you and your children can play along with her. The Supreme Court has yet to rule on the legality of President Trump's global tariffs. The justices heard the case in early November and could have issued a ruling as early as today. After the hearing, Trump says the Supreme Court tariffs case is "life or death for our county." The court's decision could have massive implications for American consumers and businesses, the economy and presidential authority. It's unclear when the next decisions from the high court will be released.        Tensions remain high after a pair of shootings involving federal agents in two different cities this week. Protests have not stopped in Minneapolis since Wednesday's deadly shooting of a 37-year-old woman by an ICE agent. On the West Coast, Homeland Security says agents were attempting a traffic stop on an alleged Venezuelan gang member yesterday in Portland, Oregon when the driver tried to run over an agent and shots were fired, sending two people to the hospital.        Five Democratic-led states have filed lawsuit against the Trump administration over frozen child care funding. The freeze would cut the states off to over ten-billion-dollars in federal money that's meant to support low-income families. The Trump administration said it was put in place due to fraud in the child care system.        President Trump says Venezuela is letting go large numbers of political prisoners following the recent U.S. military operation that removed President Nicolas Maduro from power. Posting on social media this morning, Trump called it a "smart gesture," and said the U.S. and Venezuela are "working well together" on rebuilding the country's oil and gas infrastructure. The President wrote, "Because of this cooperation, I have canceled the previously expected second wave of attacks, which looks like it will not be needed."        Accused United Healthcare CEO killer Luigi Mangione is back in a New York courtroom for a hearing. His lawyers are fighting to bar the government from seeking the death penalty if found guilty and are trying to get key evidence blocked. They are also looking to get two charges thrown out, one count of murder and one firearms offense.        "Avatar: Fire and Ash" is expected to lead the domestic box office this weekend. The third chapter of James Cameron's epic sci-fi franchise is projected to take in another 20 million dollars in its fourth weekend in theaters. It's biggest competition comes from "Greenland 2: Migration," the sequel to 2020's disaster thriller staring Gerard Butler. It's expected to bring in between eight and eleven million dollars in its debut.
