How do you know its fall? “When you pick apples and pumpkins too,” sings Apple Annie who is featured in a delightful 30 minute interactive program of songs, fingerplays and musical activities for young children and their families.  Join her on Zoom September 23th at 4pm. She suggests that if you have scarves, shakers, any kind of simple rhythm instruments at home, (pots, pans and wooden spoons are good too), keep them handy so you and your children can play along with her. Racketeering charges against President Trump in Georgia related to the 2020 presidential election may be dropped. On Wednesday, a prosecutor in the state said he plans to drop the case that accused Trump and other of attempting to overturn the election results. An investigation by Fulton County DA Fani Willis was launched after a phone call was released that featured Trump allegedly pressuring Georgia's Secretary of State to find the votes need for him to win the state.        The Thanksgiving travel period is in full swing. The TSA expects to screen over 18-million flyers before the end of next Tuesday, and yesterday was likely the busiest with 52-thousand flights scheduled nationwide. Officials say air traffic control staffing is back up to pre-government shutdown levels, and flights are largely on-schedule with over 50-thousand flights set for today across the country. Forecasters warn flights are likely to be impacted by a lake-effect snowstorm expected to sweep across the midwest and the northeast.        The FBI says it has plans to interview Senator Mark Kelly and five other Democrats who called on troops to disobey alleged unlawful orders. The FBI has reportedly been in contact with Capitol Police to schedule the interviews. The Democratic lawmakers who had all served time in the military or the intelligence community appeared in a viral video last week that urged service members to disregard orders that were unlawful.        Russia contends that the leak of a phone call between President Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff and his Russian counterpart was meant to cause issues to peace talks with Ukraine. The Kremlin also said it was too early to say a deal to end the war between the two countries was close. In the call, Witkoff reportedly gave advice to a Russian official on how to appeal to President Trump.        The Trump administration has plans to raise prices for foreign tourists visiting national parks. The Interior Department announced Tuesday it would increase the price of annual park passes for nonresidents to 250-dollars starting next year. Meanwhile, U.S. residents will have to pay 80-dollars for an annual pass.        This year's Atlantic hurricane season is the first in a decade where no hurricane made landfall in the U.S. The only named storm to hit the U.S. was Tropical Storm Chantel, which brought rain and flooding to North Carolina. Storms out in the Atlantic still caused property damage along the coast.        There's a full schedule of college basketball games today with some marquee teams in action. Number six Michigan will play number ten Gonzaga in the Players Era Festival championship. At the same event, number 13 Iowa State will take on Syracuse, while number two Houston will play Notre Dame. Elsewhere, USC and Arizona State will face off in the Maui Invitational Championship.
