On November 16, 2020, the Statewide Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Jairo Esdel Galva with one count of murder, one count of discharging a firearm while committing a violent crime resulting in death, one count of committing a drive-by shooting, and one count of carrying a pistol without a license.

 

The alleged acts occurred in the city of Pawtucket sometime on October 31, 2020. The Pawtucket Police Department conducted the investigation.

 

The defendant is scheduled to be arraigned on November 19, 2020 in Providence County Superior Court. He is currently being held without bail at the Adult Correctional Institutions (ACI).

A fraud-reporting hotline and email address has also been established.        A body found in Texas has not yet been positively identified as missing 19-year-old Camila Olmos. The teen has been missing since last Wednesday morning. The Bexar County Sheriff's Office in south Texas says a body was found by search crews a few hundred yards away from her home, in an area of tall grass.        New Year's revelers are being reminded to practice firework safety this New Year's Eve. The Consumer Product Safety Commission says eleven people were killed by fireworks last year. More than 14-thousand were hurt, with burns making up nearly 40 percent of those injuries.        President John F. Kennedy's granddaughter has passed away. Tatiana Schlossberg died from cancer at the age of 35 according to statement released from The JFK Library Foundation that was signed by her family. She was the daughter of Kennedy's daughter, Caroline Kennedy, and is survived by her husband, George Moran, their young son and daughter.        Three-time NBA MVP Nikola Jokic [[ yo-kitch ]] will be out of action for at least a month. The Denver Nuggets star has been diagnosed with a hyperextended left knee and will be re-evaluated in four weeks. He also reportedly is dealing with a bone bruise in the knee.
