WHS Collage Concert

 

The Woonsocket High School Music Department will hold their Annual Collage Concert on Thursday evening, May 19th, at 7pm in the high school auditorium.

 

The concert will feature numerous solo and small ensemble selections along with performances by the Chorus, Concert Band, Percussion Ensemble, Select Choir and Jazz Band. All of the music students in the department will participate. The Collage Concert is an evening of musical variety. The format is quick. The music is diverse. The performers are extraordinary!

 

Don’t miss this wonderful event. The talents of our wonderful young musicians will be sure to delight.

 

Advance tickets are currently on sale at the high school.  Tickets are $5 in advance, $7 at the door. Proper dress is required.

Democrats have remained focused on health care issues and want Obamacare subsidies to be extended.        Israel is cutting aid shipments into Gaza, halving the number of trucks allowed into the enclave. On Tuesday, Trump posthumously awarded Charlie Kirk the Presidential Medal of Freedom after returning from a Middle East trip where he signed a peace agreement between Israel and Hamas.        Instagram is rolling out new changes to make the app safer for teens. The updates will limit sexualized content and other mature material for teen-specific accounts, creating a PG-13-like experience. Similar content restrictions have also been adopted by other platforms like YouTube.        Consumer Reports is raising alarms over lead in protein powders. Their testing of 23 powders and shakes found that more than two-thirds contained more lead per serving than experts consider safe for a full day. The group is urging the FDA to set strict limits, noting the agency currently has no oversight of supplements.        Musicians are honoring the late R&B legend D'Angelo, who died Tuesday at 51 after a long battle with cancer. Considered a pioneer of neo-soul, he released two albums Rolling Stone ranked among the best of all time. Tributes poured in from John Legend, Jamie Foxx, Jennifer Hudson, Maxwell, and Jill Scott, who called him a genius and said his impact will be felt for generations.
