Maggie Armatys from the Lazy Girls Kitchen on YouTube stopped by the Woonsocket Harris Public Library and taught everyone from preschoolers to high schoolers how to make delightfully spooky brownies with a variety of candy toppings. This is a great idea if you have a Halloween Party or family gathering and can adapt it for your family activity. This was so much fun. Don't worry we will have her back for more foodie fun at the library very soon. Until then enjoy the video.

There will be no Book Buddies on Wednesday November 23rd as the library will close at 5pm on that day as part of our Thanksgiving recess.

The aftermath of the deadly Ice agent shooting in Minneapolis continues to spark protests and controversy nationwide. Demonstrations have persisted after 37-year-old Renee Good was fatally shot by an ICE agent during an immigration enforcement operation, a shooting that federal officials have defended as self-defense while critics say video and other evidence contradict that account. Meanwhile, podcaster Joe Rogan has publicly criticized ICE operations under the Trump administration.        Human rights activists say over 25-hundred people have been killed by Iranian authorities in the crackdown against the massive protests sweeping the country. The foreign minister of France is calling it "the most violent repression in Iran's contemporary history."        Top White House officials are meeting with the foreign ministers of Denmark and Greenland as President Trump ramps up his talk of acquiring Greenland. Today's meetings over the Arctic island will take place at the White House and involve Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio.        Netflix is preparing a revised all-cash offer for Warner Brothers Discovery's streaming and studio business. Netflix had already offered a deal worth 83-billion-dollars in cash and stock for the historic company. The new all cash offer comes as Paramount Skydance has attempted a hostile takeover of Warner Brothers Discovery's entire business.        Automakers from around the world are showing off their latest models today at the Detroit Auto Show. The annual showcase begins this morning at the Huntington Place convention center in Detroit. This week, only those in the media and the auto industry will be allowed on the showroom floor.        This year will mark Trevor Noah's final time hosting the Grammy Awards. CBS confirmed Tuesday the comedian will return for the sixth year in a row, but it'll be his last. Executive producer Ben Winston said Noah's impact on the Grammy's "has been truly spectacular" and they can't wait to do it together one last time.
