Maggie Armatys from the Lazy Girls Kitchen on YouTube stopped by the Woonsocket Harris Public Library and taught everyone from preschoolers to high schoolers how to make delightfully spooky brownies with a variety of candy toppings. This is a great idea if you have a Halloween Party or family gathering and can adapt it for your family activity. This was so much fun. Don't worry we will have her back for more foodie fun at the library very soon. Until then enjoy the video.

There will be no Book Buddies on Wednesday November 23rd as the library will close at 5pm on that day as part of our Thanksgiving recess.

Stocks are soaring into record territory on Wall Street. The Dow Jones Industrial Average has been up over 500 points at times today on cooler than expected inflation data. The S&P 500 and the Nasdaq also have been up one percent or more.        President Trump says he is cutting off trade negotiations with Canada. In a post on Truth Social, Trump accused Canada of using an ad campaign featuring former President Reagan to "interfere" with a pending Supreme Court case regarding his authority to impose sweeping tariffs. Trump called the tariffs very important to the national security and economy of the U.S.        New York Attorney General Letitia James is pleading not guilty to mortgage fraud charges. A federal grand jury in Virginia indicted the Democrat earlier this month. Speaking to supporters outside the courthouse in Norfolk today, James called the charges "baseless" and said President Trump's only goal is political retribution. Her trial is set for January 26th.        A Washington, D.C., resident is suing after he was detained for following Ohio National Guard members while playing The Imperial March from Star Wars. The incident happened September 11th when Sam O'Hara was handcuffed and briefly detained by Metropolitan Police, who accused him of harassing the troops. O'Hara's protest was a response to President Trump's deployment of National Guard troops in the District, and the American Civil Liberties Union argues his actions were protected by the Constitution.        The World Series begins tonight in Toronto. The Blue Jays will host the defending champion Los Angeles Dodgers for game one of the Fall Classic. The Dodgers are going for its third title in six years after dominating the Brewers in a sweep of the NLCS to advance. On the other side, Toronto is playing for its first World Series in more than three decades. The game starts at 8 p.m. Eastern.        The anime film "Chainsaw Man - The Movie: Reze Arc" is off to a great start at the box office. It made three-point-four-million-dollars from Thursday previews last night and is expected to bring in between eleven and 15-million-dollars in its debut. Elsewhere, "Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere" is targeting eight to 12-million this weekend. The adaption of Colleen Hoover's "Regretting You" is projected to make eight to ten-million-dollars in its debut.
