A special Basin WaterFire will kick off the Check the Stigma Hockey Classic on Friday, July 14th at 8pm.
Funds raised from the event will support mental health, suicide prevention, and substance use work here at Community Care Alliance and at the other six behavioral health organizations that make up Horizon Healthcare Partners (HHP).

The hearing related to former President Trump seeking to have his Georgia election interference case dismissed on First Amendment grounds is over. Trump's lead attorney argued in court today the indictment should be thrown out because the former president's actions related to the 2020 election were political speech and advocacy protected by the First Amendment. The judge did not rule from the bench or say when he would make a ruling.    Two bodies have been recovered in connection to the major Baltimore bridge collapse. Four others who remain missing are presumed dead. An investigation into the incident could take up to two years to complete.    FTX co-founder Sam Bankman-Fried [[ freed ]] will spend 25 years behind bars after being sentenced for his role in the company's cryptocurrency exchange scandal. This comes four months after he was found guilty of orchestrating the multibillion-dollar fraud leading to the collapse of FTX in 2022. The 32-year-old Bankman-Fried, once hailed as the "Crypto King," was convicted by a federal grand jury in New York City back in November on all counts of fraud and conspiracy he faced.    Former President Trump is expected to attend NYPD Officer Jonathan Diller's wake in New York today. The family invited the former president to the wake on Long Island for the 31-year-old who was shot and killed Monday during a traffic stop that went sideways in Queens. The community has rallied around the family, with residents saying it was overwhelming to see hundreds of people showing support at Wednesday night's vigil.    Students' college decisions could be delayed because of a FAFSA calculation mistake by the Department of Education. The error impacted several hundred thousand financial aid forms. The new FAFSA process already has been riddled with complications including delays and glitches because of an updated version released this year.    "Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire" is expected to get off to a monster start at the box office. The fifth film in the "Monsterverse" franchise is expected to make between 50 and 55 million-dollars in its debut weekend in theaters. It's projected to make between 80 and 85-million overseas this weekend as well.
