President Trump says there needs to be "immediate negotiations" on the U.S. taking control of Greenland. Speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland today, Trump said only the U.S. can protect Greenland and Denmark couldn't defend it during World War Two. He said the U.S. was "stupid" to give Greenland back to Denmark after the war was over.        The Supreme Court is hearing arguments over the firing of Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook. Cook was fired in August by the Trump administration. President Trump had urged the high court to allow him to fire Cook immediately. He moved to let her go in August over mortgage fraud allegations. Cook sued Trump over her firing and has remained on the job since.        YouTuber Nick Shirley is giving testimony before lawmakers on Capitol Hill today. The hearing will be focused on how fraud schemes have allegedly exploited multiple federally funded programs in Minnesota. Shirley will be one of four witnesses to appear before the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime and Federal Government Surveillance.        Former NFL journalist Michele Tafoya is running for the Minnesota Senate as a Republican. Tafoya, who worked as a "Sunday Night Football" sideline reporter for NBC until 2022, has repeatedly attacked two Senate Democratic candidates in the state on social media. Republicans are looking to flip the seat held by Tina Smith, who is retiring.        Dangerously cold subzero conditions will grip the eastern third of the country this week. Strong gusty winds will lead to dangerous wind chills, prompting extreme cold warnings and watches for the northern Plains and the Upper Midwest. More severe weather will be on the way as a major winter storm is expected to be generated and impact a huge area from Texas to the East Coast from Friday and through the weekend.        This year's Grammy Awards will feature a special performance from all Best New Artist nominees. Addison Rae, Alex Warren, Katseye, Leon Thomas, Lola Young, Olivia Dean, SOMBR and The Marias will all take part in a special Best New Artist segment. On Monday, it was confirmed that Sabrina Carpenter will also perform on the show.
