RISE is thrilled to announce auditions for its next all-youth RISE JR production: DISNEY’S DESCENDANTS!

Based on the popular Disney Channel Original Movies, Disney’s Descendants: The Musical is a brand-new musical jam-packed with comedy, adventure, Disney characters, and hit songs from the films!

Imprisoned on the Isle of the Lost – home of the most infamous villains who ever lived – the teenaged children of Maleficent, the Evil Queen, Jafar, and Cruella De Vil have never ventured off the island… until now. When the four troublemakers are sent to attend prep school alongside the children of beloved Disney heroes, they have a difficult choice to make: should they follow in their parents’ wicked footsteps or learn to be good?

Reports say the Secret Service received intelligence that the Iranian government was plotting to kill former President Trump. The the intel came weeks before the attempted assassination of Trump on Saturday. Primetime speakers include Donald Trump's former primary opponents, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, and former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley, who was added to the speaking schedule at the last minute. Republican Senators Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, Rick Scott and Tom Cotton, as well as House Republican leadership, will also give remarks in support of Trump's candidacy.        Delegates at the Republican National Convention are rallying behind Donald Trump and Ohio Senator JD Vance. Former President Trump made his first public appearance last night at the convention since being injured in an assassination attempt on Saturday. Trump's appearance came just hours after he named Vance as his running mate.       Wall Street is closing higher with the Dow Jones Industrial Average hitting another new record. Caterpillar and United Health were among the big gainers as the Dow rallied for its best day in more than a year. Financial shares also rose with investors banking on likely interest rates cuts this fall.       Scorching temperatures continue to impact several states today, especially on the East Coast. Tens of millions of Americans will experience 90 plus degree temps including in the New York City area where there are heat advisories and warnings in place. Records could be broken in other East Coast cities like Washington D.C. which could reach over 100 degrees.        The 2024 MLB All-Star Game will be played in Arlington, Texas tonight.
