Mayor to Cut Ribbon on February 3 to Welcome Full-Service Design and Fabrication Studio/Workroom to Woonsocket

WOONSOCKET, R.I.: Woonsocket Mayor Lisa Baldelli-Hunt today announced that a ribbon cutting ceremony will take place on Wednesday, February 3 at 1:00 PM to welcome to the Woonsocket small business community Interiors by Glo, a full-service home decor studio and workroom located at 275 Social Street.

Owner Gloria Ayotte, a thirty-nine-year Woonsocket resident and homeowner, promises that her 1,000 sq. ft. design studio and workroom will be unique to Woonsocket and surrounding communities. She envisions her business as a fun place where imagination and creativity combine with craftmanship, service and a wide range of home decor products to open a world of affordable interior and exterior design to local homeowners. Offerings will include consultation services for home decorating, expert sewing and fabrication, three lines of designer fabric including an Italian fade resistant outdoor line and one for autos, shades and blinds from another local vendor, Budget Blinds of Rhode Island, handmade candles, custom artwork, and a host of seasonal and non-seasonal one-of-a-kind, special order home décor items.

Mayor Baldelli-Hunt stated, “Woonsocket is not typically viewed as a home décordestination, but Gloria’s welcoming presence, positive attitude and high levels of design and fabrication skills will make us one. People are spending more time in their homes because of the pandemic and if you want help in every phase of making your home look more beautiful, Interiors by Glo will be the place to visit. Mayor Baldelli Hunt explained,“It is important that small, locally owned and operated businesses establish and succeed in Woonsocket because they offer the unique products, services, personal attention and community spirit that you just cannot get from a big box retailer. More and more small businesses are investing in Woonsocket even during this pandemic and my administration is dedicated to their success whether in assisting them with a permit or grant application or with helping to get the word out about what they offer.”

Gloria Ayotte emphatically stated, “I want to help make homes beautiful because there is no reason not to feel happy about the place that you spend most of your time. I will offer affordable prices for any budget for high quality design and fabrication services that usually you can only find in major metropolitan cities, and at a much higher price.” Gloria added, “Come in and talk to me about your small and large projects. The phrase“I cannot do this” does not exist in my vocabulary and if you have a picture, clipping oreven an idea of what you want, bring it in and we will get it done at a price you can afford.”

Interiors by Glo’s ribbon cutting and grand opening will take place February 3 at 1 p.m., but due to COVID-19 Gloria plans to delay her open house festivities until Monday March 15th from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
