There will be food vendors, craft vendors, and a fashion show. Local comedian and business owner Marvin Wells will act as the Master of Ceremonies.

“The multiple cultures that make up Woonsocket are part of what makes our city so amazing”, Adam Brunetti, DWC Chairperson stated. “We are excited to partner with Geri’s Bluffing Boutique to highlight the diversity of our businesses.”

“I saw a real need to positively impact my community during a global pandemic. The birth of Geri’sBluffing Boutique was that opportunity to contribute to the city’s economy and offer a cultural retail shopping experience. This unique approach takes shoppers on a cultural journey to Africa by using fashion, art, and history as the gateway to transform lives. The upcoming Fashion Fete is an outdoor block party for small businesses to come together and celebrate survival during the pandemic. They will highlight their offerings of products or services used to impact the Woonsocket Community socially, economically, and culturally. Please join Geri’s Bluffing Boutique and Angel’s Boutique for a sneak peak of new spring and summer fashions on the runway” said Geraldine Barclay-King, owner of Geri’s Bluffing Boutique.

The Downtown Woonsocket Collaborative is a non-profit organization comprised of volunteer board members dedicated to improving and promoting downtown Woonsocket. We aspire to make Woonsocket a world-renowned destination by utilizing our city’s rich history, culture, and architecture. We are inspired and dedicated to bringing attention, appreciation, and excitement to our community. We want people to visit, work, shop, dine, drink, live, and love Woonsocket.
Geri’s Bluffing Boutique creates a personalized retail shopping experience downtown Woonsocket with the goal of transforming lives through fashion, art, and cultural education. The word “Bluffing” is desire to not only look good but to feel good. It is a slang commonly used by Liberians in West Africa to describe someone’s projected confidence when masking pain or hurt they are experiencing.
