House Finance Committee continues budget hearings
STATE HOUSE – The House Finance Committee will continue its hearings on the 2024 state budget this week meeting on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons, all in Room 35 on the basement level of the State House.
Tomorrow, Tuesday, Feb. 28, at the rise of the House session (sometime after 4:30 p.m.) the committee will hear the following articles from the FY 2024 recommended budget (2023-H 5200):
· Article 1 - Appropriations - Section 20 and Section 1 page 3 lines 14-15
· Article 2 - State Funds - Sections 1, 2, 5, 6, 8, 9
· Article 3 - Government Reform and Reorganization - Section 1
On Wednesday, March 1, at 4 p.m., the committee will hear the following articles from the 2024 budget bill:
· Article 1 - Section 1 - page 23 - lines 5-8 only
On Thursday, March 2, at the rise of the House session, the committee will hear the following articles from the 2024 state budget proposal:
· Article 9 - Medical Assistance
All three meetings will be televised live by Capitol Television, which can be seen by Cox Communications subscribers on channels 15 and 61 for high definition, on channel 15 by i3Broadband viewers, and channel 34 for Verizon subscribers.
