Glocester couple charged with second-degree child abuse

An indictment, information, or complaint is merely an allegation. A defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.

 

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Attorney General Peter F. Neronha announced that a Glocester couple has been charged in Providence County Superior Court with child abuse following their arrests by the Glocester Police Department in January 2023. On April 7, 2023, the Office of the Attorney General charged Jeremy Wright (age 37) and Xiomary Wright (age 42), by way of criminal information, each with one count of second-degree child abuse.

 

As alleged in the criminal information, the co-defendants physically abused a child under the age of 18 in January2023.

 

The Glocester Police Department conducted the investigation.

 

The co-defendants are scheduled for a pre-arraignment conference on June 12, 2023, in Providence County Superior Court.
