Downtown Woonsocket Collaborative Announces Main Street Membership Program
The Downtown Woonsocket Collaborative (DWC) announces the Introduction of the Main Street Membership Program. With membership options ranging starting at $10 a month, the Main Street Membership Program will allow individuals as well as Small Businesses to support the mission of the Downtown Woonsocket Collaborative, while simultaneously receiving perks such as sponsorships, tickets to DWC Events, and discounts at participating Main Street Businesses. Anyone interested in becoming a Main Street Member can visit dwc02895.org/membership-program to learn more about the different available Membership levels.
“The Main Street Membership Program is the result of years of work by the Board of Directors,” Adam Brunetti, DWC Chairman said. “I am thankful for all of their support and input as we worked to build this new funding initiative. The money that comes in from the Mainstreet Membership Program will support our efforts to become the first Accredited Main Street Organization in Woonsocket, which is a long and costly process, but one which offer brand new opportunities to the city, such as further access to grants, and access to the Main Street America network. With our recent win of the Smart Growth Leadership Award, DWC has contributed to bringing the trifecta of Smart Growth Awards (Project, Policy, and Leadship) to Woonsocket We are serious about the work that we do here in Woonsocket. And we are proud of what we have accomplished along with our partners in the City, and cannot wait to see what the future has in store for Main Street and the Downtown Overlay District.”

The Downtown Woonsocket Collaborative hosts a range of events each year designed to support and promote local businesses, such as the Spring Fashion Fete with Geri’s Bluffing Boutique, Twilight on the Blackstone, an annual dinner party on the Court Street Bridge featuring local restaurants and musicians, Arts in the Alley, a collaboration with Lops Brewing, and the Main Street Holiday Stroll, held on the first Saturday each December, which encourages residents to shop local for the Holidays, while also enjoying offerings from local food vendors and musicians.
