Woonsocket, RI – The Autumnfest Steering Committee held their annual Reorganizational Meeting on Wednesday, January 31, 2018.  As part of the meeting, the committee elected Richard Savaria to be this year’s Autumnfest Chairperson.  Garrett Mancieri was elected as Vice Chairperson, Emily Laramee will return as Treasurer and Tyler Martin was elected as Secretary.

“I am very happy to have been selected as Chairperson of the 2018 Autumnfest Steering Committee.  This is an important year as we begin to plan the 40th Autumnfest Celebration.  It will take a lot of hard work, however, the Executive Committee and the entire Autumnfest Steering Committee is ready to take on this great challenge and bring a great festival to the greater Woonsocket community over Columbus Day Weekend.”  I would like to say thank you to last year’s Chairperson Linda Plays.  Linda contributed an enormous effort in making Autumnfest a continued success,” said Savaria.

Richard Savaria has served on the Autumnfest Steering Committee since 1979, holding various positions such as Parade Coordinator, Sporting Events Coordinator, and Vice Chairperson.
