The end of the growing season is the time to prepare the growing beds, perennials, lawn and trees for the rigors of winter; to do any fall planting; and to prepare for spring. In this talk we’ll cover what to do to prepare the ground and plants for winter, and spring.

President Trump say he's increasing tariffs on steel coming into the U.S. to 50-percent. He made the announcement at a rally in Pittsburgh following the announcement that Japan-based Nippon Steel will be allowed to invest in U.S. Steel. The deal, which Trump has touted in recent days, would effectively merge the two major steel producers while keeping the company's headquarters in Pittsburgh.        The Supreme Court is allowing the Trump administration to end the temporary legal status for more than 500-thousand immigrants. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem had filed an emergency application to end the Biden-era program. The program granted temporary legal status to 532-thousand migrants from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua and Venezuela that allowed them to live and work in the U.S.        Smoke from wildfires in Canada is prompting air quality alerts in the U.S. The smoke is expected in parts of North Dakota, Wisconsin, Minnesota and Michigan today. Health experts say anyone with respiratory conditions, older adults, and children should avoid strenuous outdoor activity in regions being impacted.        A former personal assistant to Sean "Diddy" Combs says he assaulted her repeatedly for years. A woman only referred to as "Mia" is testifying again in Comb's sex trafficking trial in New York City. She accused Diddy of sexual assault and said she was a witness to multiple attacks by him on his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura. Diddy's defense said their case may run through early July, hinting the prosecution may rest its case earlier than expected.        The Memorial Tournament is back underway in Ohio. This week's PGA Tour event is taking place the Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, just north of Columbus. Ben Griffin won last week's Charles Schwab Challenge and he entered day two holding a two shot lead over the field. Other big names in the field include world number one Scottie Scheffler and Jordan Spieth [[ speeth ]].        "Karate Kid: Legends" is off to a decent start at the box office. The film starring Jackie Chan and Ralph Macchio made two-point-three-million-dollars from Thursday previews last night. It's expected to make between 25 to 30-million in its debut weekend. However, it won't be enough to dethrone Disney's "Lilo & Stitch," which is expected to make around 60-million-dollars in its second frame.
