The White House warns the government shutdown could impact holiday travel in the U.S. if it continues. White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt cited several instances of airport ground delays and stops, and a warning from the FAA about the growing number staffing shortages. Leavitt again blamed Democrats for the shutdown, claiming they are keeping the government shut so they can bargain for benefits for illegal immigrants.     The attorney for Miami Heat player Terry Rozier says his client is not a gambler and he's looking forward to winning this fight. Rozier is among current and former NBA players and coaches who were arrested Thursday as part of a federal gambling-related investigation. Rozier is accused of faking an injury and tipping off bettors while playing with the Charlotte Hornets in 2023.     President Trump says federal agents won't be sent to San Francisco. In a post on Truth Social, Trump said his administration was getting ready to "surge" San Francisco with agents to crackdown on crime and immigration, but friends in the area asked him to not move forward with it. They told him that Mayor Daniel Lurie is making progress in the city and Trump added he spoke to the Mayor last night, who asked him to give him a chance to "turn it around." Trump added people he respects have called him saying the future of the city is great.     Current New York City Mayor Eric Adams is endorsing former governor Andrew Cuomo to succeed him. It comes days before early voting and weeks after Adams dropped his re-election bid, with Cuomo rising in the polls by at least ten percent. The endorsement is an attempt to cut in to Democrat Socialist Zohran Mamdani's double-digit lead in the polls.     Americans are spending more time than ever being stuck in traffic. That's according to the 2025 Urban Mobility Report from the Texas A&M Transportation Institute. The study found Americans are losing an average of 63 hours sitting in traffic.     Lionel Messi is staying in Miami. The Argentine soccer player dubbed the GOAT has signed an extension with Inter Miami CF through 2028 in Major League Soccer. The 38-year-old arrived in Miami in July 2023, and his contract was set to expire at the end of this season.
