With the government shutdown now in its 38th day, thousands of flights are being cancel led as the FAA makes cuts at 40 busy airports. It comes as air traffic controllers and TSA agents continue to work while not getting paid. Also in focus on Day 38: food assistance. A federal judge has ordered the Trump administration to pay full November SNAP benefits today, saying "people have gone without for too long." The Trump administration has given notice that it will appeal.        Several people reportedly fell mildly ill after a suspicious package was opened yesterday at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland. The package reportedly contained an unknown white powder and political propaganda. A spokesperson says the base was temporarily locked down and an investigation is ongoing. Two buildings were evacuated. Joint Base Andrews is home to Air Force One.        New York Representative Elise Stefanik is announcing her run for governor. The Republican congresswoman released a pre-recorded narrated video on social media to announce her campaign. Stefanik has been a fierce ally of President Trump and a forceful opponent against both current Governor Kathy Hochul and New York City's Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani.        An emergency relief fund is now set up for the families impacted by this week's deadly UPS plane crash in Louisville. Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear announced the aid effort on Wednesday. Thirteen people are confirmed dead, including three crew members, after the cargo airliner exploded on takeoff on Tuesday. Financial contributions to help cover funeral expenses for those lost can be made through the official Team Kentucky webpage.        President Trump is announcing sweeping cost cuts on obesity drugs. The White House says that Eli Lilly, which makes Zepbound, and Novo Nordisk, which manufactures Wegovy, will lower the price of those injectable weight loss drugs to as little as 350-dollars a month for starter doses. The list prices now exceed one-thousand-dollars.        Starbucks dropped a 30-dollar Bearista Cold Cup yesterday and if you didn't get one then, you might be out of luck. The glass cup shaped like a bear sold out within minutes of becoming available nationwide. Some have already made their way to the secondary market, with listings in the hundreds of dollars.
