President Trump is expected to sign an executive order today that would shut down the Department of Education. Trump will reportedly sign the order at a White House ceremony attended by Republican governors and state education leaders. After that he'll direct Education Secretary Linda McMahon to begin closing the department.        Israeli ground troops are back in the Gaza Strip. Israel broke a two-month ceasefire this week with extensive airstrikes that have already killed hundreds. Israeli Defense Forces said Wednesday a targeted ground operation is now underway in central and southern Gaza.        The mayor of a town in Ontario has issued a request to have all U.S. flags removed from city properties. Co-defendants Aimee Bock and Salim Said of Feeding Our Future were found guilty on Wednesday of billing the government for millions of dollars from the Federal Child Nutrition Program.        A federal appeals court says art created entirely by artificial intelligence cannot be copyrighted. This week's ruling says there must be initial human authorship in order for a copyright to be issued. The ruling upholds a decision denying a copyright to a computer scientist for an AI-generated painting.        The 64-team March Madness field is set. Mount St. Mary's and Xavier grabbed the final spots in the First Four round from Dayton on Wednesday. Round One of the NCAA Tournament begins today with 16 matchups.        The drummer for Guns N' Roses has left the band. Drummer Frank Ferrer has been with the Rock & Roll Hall of Famers for nearly two decades, making him the longest-serving drummer in Guns N' Roses history. A reason for his departure was not given.
