It turns out former Boston Red Sox slugger David Ortiz was not the intended target of a shooting that left him seriously hurt. Prosecutors in the Dominican Republic say gunmen were looking to kill a friend of Ortiz who was sitting near him at a bar in Santo Domingo at the time of the shooting earlier this month. Apparently, it was a case of mistaken identify. Nearly a dozen arrests have been made in the shooting.        Hope Hicks is staying tight-lipped about her time in the White House. Acting under the direction of the White House, Hicks declined to answer questions about her time as communications director during a closed-door hearing of the House Judiciary Committee today. One frustrated Democrat compared it to "watching obstruction of justice in action."        A Syrian refugee is accused of planning to attack a Pittsburgh church. Federal prosecutors say the 21-year-old ISIS sympathizer plotted to put a bomb in a church on the city's north side. The suspect was born in Syria and was admitted to the U.S. as a refugee in 2016.        Interstate 80 is open again after a Union Pacific train carrying grenades and bombs derailed earlier today in northeast Nevada. The Elko County Sheriff's Office says the cars carrying the munitions did not jump the tracks. The freeway was closed in both directions near the town of Wells as a precaution. There are no reports of injuries in the crash about 50 miles west of the Utah border.       New concerns are being raised about the dangers of vaping pen explosions. A Nevada teen suffered a broken jaw when one of the devices suddenly exploded in his mouth last year knocking out several teeth. According to the Food and Drug Administration, e-cigarette explosions happen when the lithium-ion battery inside a vape pen overheats. Actress Angelina Jolie is now adding magazine editor to her list of credits. Time Magazine announced today they've hired Jolie as a contributor just as her first piece titled "What We Owe Refuges" appeared in print. The two-time Oscar winner also serves as Special Envoy of the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees.
