Press Secretary Sarah Sanders called the credentials of Dr. Ronny Jackson impeccable. The Navy admiral and a veteran White House physician is facing allegations of improper workplace behavior and inappropriate conduct. Sanders insists a thorough vetting process was conducted before Jackson was nominated.       President Trump's controversial travel ban appears to have the backing of the conservative majority on the U.S. Supreme Court. Justices heard oral arguments in the hotly-contested case today. Justice Samuel Alito said it does not appear to be a ban on Muslims. That contradicted claims by those challenging the travel ban.       The most innovative DNA technology is credited with leading to the arrest of the Golden State Killer in California. California authorities arrested 72-year-old Joseph DeAngelo on suspicion of 12 murders and 45 sexual assaults from 1976 to 1986. Sacramento County District Attorney Anne Marie Schubert says that in the last six days, their crime lab was able to make the break that led to DeAngelo's arrest.       French President Emmanuel Macron [[ mah-CRONE ]] is calling for a better Iran deal, but does not want to abandon the current agreement. Addressing U.S. lawmakers today, Macron called for a more comprehensive deal to prevent Iran from building nuclear weapons. He argued that Iran must never be allowed to have nukes.       Police in Maine are searching for a suspect that gunned down a sheriff earlier this morning. Officials have issued a nationwide alert for 29-year-old John Williams of Madison, Maine who they believe to be armed and dangerous. Williams is on the run after he allegedly shot and killed a sheriff early this morning and stole the police cruiser.        An assistant vice president of Villanova University is dead following an apparent murder-suicide involving a love triangle. Radnor Township, Pennsylvania police say Meredith Chapman was fatally shot by Jennair Gerardot who broke into her home Monday night and later turned the gun on herself. Investigators say Gerardot believed Chapman was having an affair with her husband.
