The City of Woonsocket will be reconstructing the following streets with work commencing on
NORTH SMITHFIELD – 91% of residents and business owners will see a decrease in their tax bills this year. “As a result of sound fiscal management and increased tangible taxes received by the Town, we are pleased to announce that most will see their tax bills lowered” stated Paulette D. Hamilton, Town Administrator.

Slatersville Heritage Day
This Sunday will be a day of history, great music, arts and crafts and wonderful food on the Historic Slatersville Common and beyond.
PROVIDENCE - The Rhode Island Department of Health (HEALTH) has recommended the closure of Spring Lake Beach Facility (50 Old Hillside Drive, Glendale, RI) to swimming after a group of people who swam there on July 4 became ill with bloody diarrhea. HEALTH has not yet identified the source of the illness, but has taken water samples to test for bacteria. This facility has no history of high bacteria counts.
