The Woonsocket Police Department is proud to announce the swearing in of four new police officers.  The ceremony will be held at the Woonsocket Police Department Roll Call Room at 3:00 pm on Friday, May 24, 2013.   All are welcomed to attend.  The four new officers are:

Monday May 27th 10:30 AM. Step off from Brigido's Market Slatersville Plaza, down North Main Street to Town Hall for a brief memorial ceremony. Continues to the VFW on School Street.

Good Samaritan Bill

BOSTON - The Massachusetts Senate unanimously passed the "Good Samaritan Bill" to ensure off-duty first responders who provide emergency care are not subject to lawsuits for helping those in need, Senate President Pro Tempore Richard T. Moore, D-Uxbridge, announced.
